LYKINS OIL COMPANY PURCHASES FOUR KENTUCKY COMPANIES

Lykins Companies has purchased four oil companies in Kentucky. These acquisitions continue to fuel Lykins' expansion in Kentucky and its future growth.

Lykins recently purchased Hamilton Oil Company located in Georgetown, Kentucky. Hamilton was founded in 1926 by O.B. Hamilton. Lykins also recently purchased J & L Equipment and Oil Company located in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. J & L has been doing business in the Mount Vernon area since the 1920's. Lykins purchased DeBoard Oil Company in Mount Vernon and Curry Oil in London last year.

With Lykins as the new owners of all three companies, Georgetown, Lexington and Mount Vernon will have expanded fuel options including alternative fuels like E-85 and Bio-Diesel. Now, under Lykins, Georgetown, Lexington and Mount Vernon area gas stations and convenience stores will have the choice of Shell, BP, Marathon, Exxon/Mobil, and Clark brands as well as unbranded fuel. And all three communities' residents will now be able to get their home heating oil and other petroleum products from Lykins.

Lykins Oil's President, Jeff Lykins, says the purchase of these three oil companies helps Lykins further expand its presence in Kentucky.
