LYKINS COMPANIES' PURCHASES HAMILTON OIL
(Georgetown, Kentucky) Lykins Oil has just purchased Hamilton Oil Company located in Georgetown, Kentucky. Hamilton was founded in 1926 by O.B. Hamilton.
With Lykins as the new owner, Georgetown and Lexington will have expanded fuel options. Hamilton was a Shell distributor/jobber. Now, under Lykins, Georgetown and Lexington area gas stations and convenience stores will have the choice of Shell, BP, Marathon, ExxonMobil, and Clark brands as well as unbranded fuel. And Georgetown and Lexington residents will now be able to get their home heating oil and propane from Lykins too.
Lykins Oil President, Jeff Lykins, says the purchase of Hamilton Oil helps Lykins further expand its presence in Kentucky.
